Who is Beetlejuice? A huge critical and commercial success, the 1988 film Beetlejuice follows the young couple Barbara and Adam Maitland, who find themselves trapped haunting their old home after dying in a car crash. When a new family and their gothic teenage daughter, Lydia, move into their house, the ghost couple tries to scare them off. Their unsuccessful haunting attempts attract a flamboyant spirit, whose help becomes dangerous for both the couple of souls and the young, innocent Lydia. Exploring the Beetlejuice statue: Ready to scare the living, a mischievous and trickster ghost, dressed in a not-so-elegant black-and-white striped suit, with a wild, disheveled green mane and a perpetually grimy smiling face, plans his supernatural pranks beside his tombstone decorated with small skull gargoyles and his name carved in the phrase "Here lies Betelgeuse." If you don't want trouble in the afterlife, never say his name three times, or you'll be left to fend for yourself.
